Our Kingdom Cares International March 2013 missions team is on their way to Ghana today!
Justice and JJ got in on this trip with Dad and the girls and I will stay back home and hold down the fort! Others in attendance on the team are two families from our church - one of which has begun the adoption process in Ghana, one of Jake’s high school Kingdom Hoops players, an older sibling of a Kingdom Hoops player on Justice’s team, our Kingdom Cares International intern, our KCI head of operations, and a staff member from Adoption Advocates International (not pictured – meeting up with her in a different state).
This will be Justice’s second trip back to his birth country since we completed his adoption in 2010. And this will be JJ’s 4th trip to Ghana! He’s practically a Ghanaian by now! :) When I look at this picture I see a hope fulfilled – and that is that since JJ was an infant I had prayed that we would be able to serve others together as a family. Who knew that an international adoption 3 years ago would pave the way into that? I am so thankful that God has set us up with the opportunity to bring our children right alongside of us in this ministry. I cannot think of a better way for them to experience God’s awesome power than to be stripped of all the comforts of home, and thrown out there amongst their needy and hurting brothers and sisters in Christ to show love in action. I am praying that God will reveal Himself to this team in powerful ways that they’ve never experienced before!!!
More updates to come this week!
