As far back as I can remember, each year at Christmas-time my mom and I have gotten together with my Grandma to make cookies and candy and yummy chex mix! Here’s a pic of me and my Grandma back in the day (and yes, that's a Christmas schnauzer-puppy sweatshirt that I am wearing)!
And here we are in 2006.....JJ's first year of experiencing the tradition! Look closely at the table cloth and my Grandpa in his overalls there in the background.....some things never change....
And yesterday was the big cookie day for 2010! Some cool mom let one of her kids skip school so he could get in on the action.
My kids are so blessed to be able to know their spunky Great-gram!!!!
Everyone is hard at work!
Time for cut-outs....everybody's favorite! We still have the same cookie cutters from the 1980's! :)
Everyone gets their own pan to decorate....they were so into it this year. Serious business during this part!
We added a new item this year.....gingerbread cookies! We haven't ever made these, but they were a huge hit with the boys. JJ might be the first 4-year-old to ever make a Lebron James gingerbread man. :)
JJ sneakin Great-grandpa a cookie fresh off the presses.

The only thing that changes is the wall color in my dining room! LOL! Fun memories. Can't think of a better use for 2# of butter!
